Job Description
Position Title: Director of Planned Giving
Position Objective
This position will be responsible for serving as the primary contact for donors, pastors, business managers, schools, and others to prioritize planned giving and motivate constituent engagement. This is a full-time position, based upon a schedule of 40 hours per week, and is eligible for health and welfare benefits, paid time off, and participation in a defined benefit retirement plan. This position is classified as exempt.
Essential Duties
Advise parishes, schools, other ministries in starting/continuing planned giving programs.
Train constituents to heighten the visibility of planned giving and to write periodically about its methods.
Connect with professional advisers, including attorneys, accountants, financial planners, bank trust officers, CPA’s, and others who can support and expand the programs.

Basic Qualifications
Required:
B.A./B.S. required, M.A. or J.D. a plus.
Minimum 5 years in major/planned giving, or 2 years in major/planned giving with an additional 5 years in development.
Preferred:
Knowledge of fundraising record keeping and fundraising software.
