Job Description
Position Title: Director of Youth Ministry
Location: Our Lady of Guadalupe – St. Joseph, MO
Status: Full-time/Exempt
Reports to: Pastor
Position Objective
This position will be responsible for facilitating and providing opportunities for parish youth to grow in deeper love with Jesus Christ and His Church. This will be accomplished through active participation in catechesis, prayer and service.
Essential Duties
• Develop and coordinate the following programs:
o Youth ministry programs that encompass all junior high and high school aged teens.
o Parish Respect Life Committee.
o Confirmation program.
• Recruit and act as liaison for adult volunteers.
• Develop program budgets and oversee all financial operations regarding youth ministry.
• Assist pastor in training of youth as altar servers.
• Maintain records pertaining to youth ministry, Respect Life, and confirmation programs.

Basic Qualifications
• Required
o Undergraduate degree – preferably in Theology, Religious Studies, or Youth Ministry.
o Full-initiated, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
o Solid understanding of Catholic teaching and be in agreement with the magisterial teachings of the Church regarding faith and morals.
• Willing to sign and abide by the Diocesan Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM).
