December 9th, 2017 Alumni & Friends of CCR
Our meeting today included a friend from RideKC Freedom, looking for para transit drivers. Several job seekers along with two newcomers were in attendance. In addition we had eight (8) CCR Alumni sharing their personal success stories. Four of these Alumni had found gainful employment in the past three months. Networking was the common thread shared in all their stories, along with prayer.
The CCR believes the process in today’s job search is a two prong approach. Apply for the position you are qualified for, next find someone within that company that can move your application from the stack of many to the group of the few.
Today we were honored by eight CCR Alumni who returned after attending the CCR as long as five years ago to as recently as just this past month to pay it forward by being that voice with their current employer (City Wide, Line-X Protective Coatings, Health Care Foundation of Greater KC, KeyBank Real Estate Capital, MTC Holding Corporation, Shadow Glenn Gold Course, Smith & Lovelace, & UnitedLex).
This is priceless… and for that CCR continues it’s mission assisting all those in transition.
