Per the 35+ job seekers and feedback from all, it was yet another great CCR panel this month with representatives from City Wide Maintenance, Hallmark Cards, Quintiles, Paycor, and Convergys. One job seeker asked, “does the CCR bring in panelist like this each month” and the answer is YES! In addition to weekly meetings, the CCR has for 3+ years conducted a monthly Panel Roundtable that allows employers to meet qualified potential employees in a casual and productive environment.
1] By attending a CCR Roundtable, the job seeker has an inside contact with that company for the future.
2] It’s not just a referral, it is a ‘meaningful referral’.
3] More and more companies are hiring from within, do not be afraid to start at a different position and fast track to your desired position.
4] If you are not qualified, do not apply and at the same time remember that as important as skills are, fitting in is often more important.
